This tasty beef can be served with mash potatoes as well as rice. I cook the green bean only for a few minutes to leave the crunchiness as it gives the healthy feeling 🙂
Beef with Ginger and Lemongrass

Ingredients:
- 400 lean beef fillet, thinly sliced
- 2 lemongrass stem, white part only, thinly sliced
- 200gr green bean, trim both end.
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 1 medium onion, peeled, slice lengthways
- 3 garlic clove, crushed
- 1 tbs fish sauce
- 3 tbs sweet soy sauce (kecap manis)
- 2 tbs vegetables oil
- 2 tbs mirin (sweet sake for cooking)
- Steam rice to serve
Cooking Instructions:
- In a bowl, add beef, ginger, garlic, lemongrass, and the vegetable oil, mix together. Set aside.
- Heat a pan over high heat, add the beef and stir until beef change colours.
- Add onion, cook until onion soft.
- Add fish sauce, sweet soy sauce, mirin, stir well.
- Add green bean, stir until cook but still crunchy.
- Serve with rice.

The Ingredients include 1 tsp of grated ginger but there is no mention under Cooking Instructions of when it should be added. Thanks!
