Beef Bulgogi Recipe

Ingredients:
  • 500gr beef thinly sliced (you can buy sliced beef from Korean/Japanese Butchers
  • 1 big very ripe nashi pear/any pear, grated/mashed
  • ¼ zucchini, grated
  • 100 gr mushroom, sliced
  • ½ brown onion, long thin sliced
  • 5 garlic, minced/crushed
  • 1 small carrot, grated
  • 5 tbs soy sauce
  • 10 tbs good mirin - sweet sake for cooking
  • 3 full tbs Sunchang Gochujang sauce - Korean hot pepper sauce
  • 3 small spring onion/2 big one, chopped
  • rice to serve
Cooking Instructions:
  1. In a bowl, add meat, ensure they are not stick together.
  2. Add pear, mix well - use your hand.
  3. Add the rest of the ingredients EXCEPT RICE, use your hand to mix together.
  4. Heat a pan/wok, when the pan is really hot, add the marinated meat, cook until the meat is done.
  5. Taste, if you need sweeter bulgogi add more mirin, if you want saltier add soy sauce.
  6. Serve with rice, garnish with chopped spring onion.
